San Jose is filled with great things to do and see and your home away from home at Crowne Plaza San Jose-Silicon Valley is very close to a great amount of these attractions. When exploring the city of San Jose you have options, from dining and shopping to entertainment and cultural events, there is something from everyone. Today, we wanted to share a list of museums that you check out to learn something new and absorbed new knowledge. Museums are great to spend a day in and grab a delicious lunch nearby. So, pick your favorite one, or all of them, to spend a day of discovery in San Jose.

 

  1. The Tech Museum of Innovation: Also known as The Tech, this museum focusing on technology has hands-on and interactive exhibits divided by themed galleries. An interesting location that also has an IMAX theater, learning programs, and a store. Find it at 201 South Market Street opened from 10am-5pm.
  2. Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium: This theosophical museum houses the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in western North America. The architecture is inspired by the temple of Amon at Karnak and it includes artifacts from pre dynastic times to Egypt's early Islamic era. Find it at 1660 Park Avenue, opened from 9am-5pm.
  3. San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles: This museum founded in 1977 is the first museum in the United States focused solely to quilts and textiles as art. Find various curated exhibits celebrating the art, creators, craft and history of quilts and textiles. Find it at 520 South 1st Street, opened most days from 11am-4pm.
